This Privacy Policy details how we collect, process, and safeguard information when you use our live bullion tracking services, rate calculators, notification alerts, and developer APIs.
2. Guest-First Architecture & Tiered Access
We operate under a Guest-First Default model:
- Guest Users: You can access live 24K/22K gold rates, silver rates, city markups across 20+ Indian cities, and our jewellery billing calculator completely anonymously without providing any name, email, or credentials. Guest queries generate zero personal identifiers on our servers.
- Registered Users (Pro / VIP): When you authenticate via Google Sign-In or Direct Email OTP, we store your email address, display name, and subscription tier to persist personalized price alert thresholds and API access keys.
3. Data We Collect & How We Use It
Authentication Data: When signing in with Google OAuth, we receive your verified email address, full name, and avatar URL provided by Google’s Identity Services. We do not receive or store your Google account password.
Device & Network Data: To optimize latency across Indian telecom networks and calibrate city tax premiums, our edge network momentarily reads coarse geographical hints (State/City level). We do not record granular GPS coordinates.
Price Alert Preferences: Alert criteria (e.g., target ₹/10g trigger price and notification channel) chosen by registered users are stored in our secure database.
4. Advertising & Google AdMob Disclosure
Our Android app and select public pages display advertising served by Google AdMob to support real-time data feeds.

- AdMob may use advertising identifiers (such as Google Advertising ID / GAID) to serve relevant ads according to your device consent settings.
- We enforce strict interstitial ad cooldowns (minimum 75 seconds) and never show ads immediately on application launch or interrupt transactional calculations.
5. Data Security & Zero Third-Party Sale
We never sell, rent, or trade your personal information. All communications between your mobile device, browser, and our cloud backend are encrypted in transit using industry-standard TLS 1.3 / HTTPS. Session tokens are signed using high-entropy secret keys.

In accordance with Google Play User Data policies and global privacy regulations (GDPR/DPDP), users may request complete deletion of their account profile, API keys, and alert preferences at any time by contacting our administrator at support@sonarate.in or directly from the Admin / User Portal.
